PALLAS SKI RESORT
Experience natural snow in Pallas Ski resort
As the old wisdom has it, "Pallas takes your heart but you can always come back". Pallas is the most genuine and traditional fell for downhill skiing and a paradise for travellers who truly want to enjoy their holiday. Our aim is to maintain the natural snow on our slopes rather than producing artificial snow. It feels different to ski on natural snow because it doesn't freeze or chrystallise on the skis like artificial snow. The soil of the slopes is not mechanically treated which makes skiing as natural as possible with all the mounds and shapes in the slope. You can't find an easier and more diversified place for off-piste skiing in Finland! You will only understand the magical power of the national landscape on the spot. Pallas Ski resort features relaxed get-togehers and laid-back outdoor sports in fresh fell air.
Opening times
The slopes will be opened on February 15, 2025 at 10 a.m

Cross-country skiing tracks in Pallas
The cross-country track network in Muonio was established and is maintained in cooperation by local tourism enterprises and the local authorities. They take care of the tracks using appropriate equipment.
The extent of the mechanically maintained track network is some 200 km. Some of the tracks enter the National Park area. Popular cross-country skiing destinations include Nammalkuru, Vuontispirtti, Raattama, Jeris, Olos and Torassieppi. The highlight of spring is to cover the route between Hetta and Pallas. Near the hotel you will also find tracks of 3km, 5km and 10km which are maintained by the hotel staff. The tracks connect the municipalities in Fell Lapland, giving a cross-country skier access to a thousand kilometres of tracks.
SKI PASSES AND RENTAL EQUIPMENT
Ski passes for Pallas lifts can be bought from the Lapland Hotels Pallas reception. Our rental shop where you can rent basic equipment for winter sports is located on the other side of the same building. The entrance to the rental shop is located in the right side of the parking lot. Take the steps downstairs. Other services in our ski resort include the hut by the front lift which customers can use during the lift opening hours. In addition, Romanssikahvio Café by the back lifts is open during lift opening hours.
With the Olos/Pallas pass you can ski down both fells and both in Luosto and Ounasvaara. Six-day tickets and above as well as seasonal tickets grant you one day of skiing at Ylläs. The SuperSkiPass has unlimited access to Ylläs, Olos, Pallas, and Levi.
All ski passes are coded to an electronic KeyCard which is not included in the ski pass prices. The reusable KeyCard costs €7. You can buy it or return it after use to our ticket office. We will give a €3 refund for a returned KeyCard which means the rental price for the card is €4. KeyCards are valid in all ski resorts that use SkiData system.
RAVINTOLA PALLAS
Restaurant Pallas at Lapland Hotels Pallas is at your service daily during the spring season. You can come and have a snack and a drink in between activities or enjoy a hearty evening meal after a long day at the slopes
ROMANSSIKAHVIO
Café Romance is one of the most famous places in the ski resort. You do not want to miss the steps to the café. The café can be accessed via the downhill skiing slopes by taking the front lift up, exiting to the right side and skiing straight to the back lifts. In addition, there is a regularly groomed connecting route at the 3rd lift exit point that leads to the back lift. Cross-country skiers can make their way to the café by using the track starting from the hotel towards Taivaskero and the fells. The length of the trip one way is approximately 2 kilometres.
The stairs to the Romanssikahvio Café are perfect for springtime sun bathing. Come enjoy some hot drinks and snacks with us!
HUTS
The small and intimate hut is located by the bottom station of the front lift. The fire in the hut is kept burning during the lift opening hours and it is a perfect place for warming up or having lunch with family. The hut can easily be found by heading towards the nearest lift from the hotel.
The other huts are located on the left side of the road about one kilometre from the hotel. A route along Orava Avenue takes you to a reservable and an open hut maintained by the State Forest Enterprise Metsähallitus. Both can be used any time of the day or year. You can book the hut for yourself in the Nature Centre.
