Easy and relaxing holiday
Our hotel, in the Saariselkä tourist center, is close to ski slopes, ski trails and the associated services. Saariselkä’s well-maintained, versatile trail network starts right outside the hotel’s front door and wanders from one fell to another, diving down to the shelter of the forest and then again back up to the fell. The beauty of the nature trails on the summer fells is amplified further by the gentle trickle of the brooks.
On the sledge of our partner, Lapland Safaris, you’ll find an easy and relaxing way to move around alone, or as a member of a group — Lapland Safaris is capable of managing both of these options.

With glow bowling, good music and refreshing drinks makes that feeling even better! The bowling hall has a bar where you can purchase drinks to quench your thirst and tasty snacks for small appetites. The bar also has a popular tabletop curling game and other enjoyable board games.

Mountain biking is popular in the Inari-Saariselkä area all year round — even in the winter. Naturally, you don’t need to bring your own bike, because the local service program companies rent mountain bikes and ‘fatbikes’. They can also give you advice on which route to choose. Great routes include, among others, the trail from Saariselkä to Moitakuru day hut, via Kaunispää, and from Kiilopää over Ahopää Saariselkä, via Laanila.
In the Urho Kekkonen National Park cycling is restricted. However, it’s prohibited to cycle in the following areas:
- Saariselkä – Lutto, hiking trail
- Rajajooseppi – Anteri, an old trail of the Border Guard
Before you go cycling in the Urho Kekkonen Natural Park, we suggest you visit the Ministry of Forestry service center in Kiehinen, Saariselkä. You can ask for more details on the cycling routes at Kiehinen. The Utsjoki region has a wide network of cross-country cycling, set in magnificent scenery. Bikes can be rented at the Lapland Safaris facilities. Among other options, ‘fatbikes’ are available for both summer and winter cycling!
