HURMOS - ENCHANTINGLY DELICOUS PORRIDGE

For two persons

The gentle light of golden dawn shines on the fell strings. The early morning misty translucence is filled with deep serenity. Northern nature has always known how to wake up slowly and quietly. Lapland Hotels' slow-cooked porridge recipe, inspired by Lapland's age-old wisdom, is designed for unhurried mornings and meaninful moments.

Recipe:

STEP 1:
2 DL OAT GRAINS
8 DL HOT WATER
7 G / 2 TSP SALT

Combine the ingredients in an oven-proof dish. Cover the dish with foil. Bake in the oven at 110°C for about 3 hours until the grains are soft and have absorbed the liquid. Leave to cool. Once the porridge has cooled, continue with the preparation. You can complete this step the evening before.

STEP 2:
Add to the porridge base:
3 DL FULL-FAT MILK
15 G / 1–2 TSP BUTTER

Combine all ingredients in the ovenproof dish. Cover with foil. Place the dish in the oven at 110°C for about 1 hour until the consistency is thick and porridgy. Remove from the oven and let rest for about 10 minutes. Mix and enjoy.
