Ounasvaara Ski Resort is located near the center of Rovaniemi, surrounded by abundant services. The slopes cater to both beginners and more advanced skiers. For those trying the sport for the first time, there is a separate training slope area, Rendi Park, designated by snow fences. To the delight of skiers, Rovaniemi's first snow trail opens annually in October.
